Process Industry – CAD Engineering Vacancies – Wolverhampton Area

We are also looking for design engineers / draftspersons to work on a clients Wolverhampton premises :

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work as part of a team of Engineers to develop cost effective designs to suit the client’s requirements. Contracts are ‘stand-alone’ UK based.
It will be your responsibility to produce layout drawings of plant and equipment for turnkey Biomass and Energy from Waste packages. From these layout drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings will be produced and issued to the customer for approval or for information purposes. You will also be required to issue drawings to potential suppliers for pricing and manufacture.To liaise with the client, the Parent Company and suppliers to ensure that equipment supplied will tie in with other parts of the installation.

Engineering Qualifications :

HNC preferable, but ONC will be considered.

Engineering Background / Knowledge :

Light to medium fabrications.
Medium/heavy gauge ductwork systems layout and detail.
Plant layout.
Drawing and document control.
Structural steelwork and access.
Pneumatic schematics.
Material handling systems.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Computer Literate in the following :
Microsoft Office suite of software.
AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor Suite proficient.
Internet / e-mail.

General Qualities :

Must be able to communicate with fabricators / site personnel.
Conversant with CDM Regulations.
Conversant with Machinery Directive.
Conversant with ISO9001:2008 Quality System.
Must be capable of producing accurate drawings.
Must be capable of checking own and others’ drawings.

This is initially a 6 month contract with a high probability of turning into a staff role for the right person.
