Autodesk Inventor 2009 Assembly Constraints
On several of our CAD workstations using Autodesk Inventor 2009, we have noticed that they frequently seem to lock up whilst adding assembly constraints, if left alone for long enough it comes back to life eventually. We have not worked out yet if this is from any particular constraint or command but will keep it posted. Has anyone experienced this ?
We have since deleted all the Content Centre Parts from one of the models and it instantly improved, it was not a large CAD model with less than 100 fixings as a guess. If we can find the logic we will keep it posted !

We had a similar issue that was resolved by doing the following :
Under ‘Tools’, ‘Application Options’, on the ‘Assembly’ tab UNTICK the “Enable Related Constraint Failure Analysis” option.
This must be done on a ‘per user, per workstation’ basis as it is enabled by default. As a point of interest, it was not enabled in 2008 or earlier versions.
Good luck and please post back if it works.

Sarah – Thanks very much for the feedback.
It worked first time and now Inventor works as expected.
Thanks again.
