AutoCAD 2012 Installation Error 1603

Judging by various discussion boards, we have noticed several people are getting ‘Error 1603′ when attempting to install AutoCAD 2012. The error states that the user must ‘install DirectX’ before the installation can commence. To solve this, you need to install DirectX End-User Runtimes (March 2009) from the Microsoft website, and then run the installation again.

We turn 23 years old today! We have been fortunate enough to enjoy great success from when we started back in 1988 and long may it continue.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have placed business with us, and worked for us over the years.

On to the next 23 years!

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Problems

Problems are being experienced with Windows 7 Service pack being installed automatically with Windows updates. These problems are not related to the service pack itself but with the way it is installing. The problem is being caused when it installs alongside other updates.

The solution is to either install the service pack manually by downloading it from the Microsoft website and installing it on its own. If you would prefer not to have the service pack installed yet, make sure you switch off Windows updates.
