It has been bought to our attention that some people are experiencing Autodesk Sync issues when installing a 2013 release product after installing a 2013 beta product. The Autodesk Sync component does not upgrade properly under the following conditions:

• You installed AutoCAD Beta 2013 (or Showcase Beta 2013) and subsequently install Inventor 2013

• You installed Inventor Beta 2013 and subsequently install AutoCAD 2013 (or Showcase 2013).

We are pleased to announce we have downloaded the latest product release from Autodesk – Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013, which includes AutoCAD and Inventor. We are looking forward to trying out all of the exciting new features!

Judging by various discussion boards, we have noticed several people are getting ‘Error 1603′ when attempting to install AutoCAD 2012. The error states that the user must ‘install DirectX’ before the installation can commence. To solve this, you need to install DirectX End-User Runtimes (March 2009) from the Microsoft website, and then run the installation again.

ANSYS 13.0 has been announced, delivering performance improvements and new features for making multiphysics more accessible.  We are currently using ANSYS Design Space 12.1 here at Nova.

We are delighted to announce that we were selected to assist with the £12.5m London Eye capsule upgrade.  The refurbishment of the Eye’s capsules shall be finished in time for the 2012 Olympics.  Full details of the project can be viewed here:
